"Mechanism of Goods Movement among the GCC States"
Any airport, land port or seaport customs in the GCC states is a point of entry for the foreign goods. At this entry point the goods imported to any GCC state is examined, matched against the required documents, verified that it is free from prohibited items, and customs duties due on it are collected. The documents required to be submitted to the customs authorities according to the clearance regulation to avoid payment of customs duties once again are the following: First: Complete Consignment: If the consignment is complete, the following documents shall be presented: 1. Present the original customs declaration. 2. The customs declaration shall be sealed with the clearance seal agreed on among the GCC states. The port will prepare import statistical statement for the consignment. Second: Incomplete Consignment If a part of the consignment is arrived, the following documents shall be presented: 1. Present a copy of the import declaration under which the original consignment imported completely. 2. Present the original statistical statement issued by any of the GCC states. 3. The date of the consignment arrival to the first GCC entry port shall be after January 1, 2003. 4. For the vehicles, an export certificate issued by any GCC state shall be added to the above documents.
